Vintage Gucci Handbags The True value

Nothing is better than having a vintage Gucci handbags.  Since 1921, Gucci has been creating handbags and a myriad of styles have evolved since then. So the best brand that offers the finest vintage style handbags is Gucci, of course. Gucci handbags have classic styles that are timeless which makes these handbags in demand long after the style has gone. In fashion, old styles get replaced with new ones all the time but some styles outlast the others. This is when vintage styles are born and Gucci is no stranger to this kind of style. Gucci has its own vintage followers who are in love with the evolution of their handbags.

[ad_1]

Choose Gucci Vintage

Fans of Gucci handbags are also fans of its vintage styles.  Every Gucci handbag collection differs from the next but certain classic styles have been retained over the years. If you're going for the true vintage Gucci look in terms of handbags, it means you're not conscious about trends but more appreciative of the Gucci style. A lot of true blue fashionistas follow the latest handbag trends and sporting Gucci handbags of the vintage variety guarantees you that you won't be carrying the same designer handbags like everyone else.

The Vintage Style

When you say vintage you'll probably refer back to the times of the eighties but nowadays even the seventies and the years before are considered vintage. For instance a 1991 Gucci Hobo bag is very well considered vintage. The reason behind this is that the fashion industry changes styles every year and four for every season in a year. For a fashionista who changes her Gucci handbags seasonally, then a 1991 Gucci Hobo bag is definitely considered vintage. Only the true fashion enthusiast who see fashion as art care enough to keep last season's merchandise around.

But there is a very thin line between vintage and simply out of style and this is determined by real devotees of fashion.

Finding Vintage Gucci

It's a challenge to find vintage Gucci handbags. These special Gucci handbags cannot be found in department stores nor can it be found in Gucci retail shops since they don't keep old items in stock. To find these elusive handbags, fans of Gucci should look somewhere else to get them. These vintage handbags can be found in specialty stores but the supplies don't last. The best place to find vintage Gucci handbags are online.

But before buying that vintage Gucci handbag it's best to do some background research. The best way check on the authenticity of the handbag is by asking the vendor for some information about the item including requesting for photos of it. Be a smart shopper and familiarize yourself with the Gucci standard of quality.

High Waisted Vintage Bikini Inspired

Vintage Bikini History

The 1920s was a decade where swimwear first started to resemble the swimming costumes we know of today. This was an era of female emancipation. From bobbing long hair short to hemlines getting higher and higher as it got increasingly acceptable for women to have careers. The new form that comprised of fitting swimwear reflected the spirit of this high waisted vintage bikini era. The trending swimwear style for both men and women was  a for fitted and knitted tunics and shorts. Swim suits and bikinis were made from woolen jerseys and perfectly suited the androgynous fashion figures of the time.

How Vintage Bikini Developed in 1950s

In the 1950era, fabrics that were used in the making of swimwear were improved. Elastic and nylon material were added in the construction of the jerseys to improve the stretching. And to make them dry faster after a dip. Bold colors also became very popular. Especially bold prints and checks, with floral pattern being the most common. Later on, high waist vintage bikinis and bathing suits became a classic sheath. The top had a sweetheart neckline with a very short and tight skirt covering the front part of the bottom. Which sometimes would extend to the back as well. This swimsuit did not get women off the hook from maintaining a 50s figure. The top piece of the vintage bikini had padded cups that would enhance the bust. With the rest of the wear fitted and enhanced to look more like a corset. Rouching was very common on both sides of swimsuits and high waisted vintage bikinis or running down a panel on the front side. The trick of the fabric was to create an optical illusion to hide unsightly rolls on the body. And making the wearer appear to be more slimmer. Some high waisted vintage swimwear had a zip at the backside to make it extra fitting or extra form enhancing.

One piece Swimsuits

Strapless swimsuits also became popular around the 1960s, and later on, halters were also introduced. These could have thick straps at the side of the suit. Or two ties that would be very thin emerging from the center. Two piece suits (vintage bikinis), were also worn but one piece were the most commonly preferred. They didn't reveal much more than a bikini would anyways. And this might have been the reason why they were preferred. The bottom half of these suits was very similar to the one piece suits. Often with a similar method of ruching. The skirt came all the way up the the wearer's natural waist. So that no belly buttons were visible. The top would be a strapless bra top. Sometime accessorized with halter ties from the middle. The front would be rounded and would sometimes come with at wist or bow in the center. That's how high waisted vintage bikini born and developed.

High Waisted Vintage Bikinis Inspired Modern Bikinis

The modest 1950s bathing suit inspired the return of one piece bathing suit popularity. The two piece high waisted bikini came later on . The unique vintage colors, dots, the feeling, decorative details and the patterns all make vintage wear very popular at beach and pool sides in the modern day. A lot of stores today are carrying the 1950s high waisted vintage bikini culture in their swimsuits style.

Difference Between Modern Bikinis and Vintage Inspired Swimwear

To satisfy the ever changing fashion tastes of bikini wearers, some of the manufactures have come up with method of making bikini order in a very short time. Usually less than ten minutes. Most of these wears are custom made according to the specifications of the customers. Most of whom prefer high waisted vintage bikini inspired styles. Brazilian based beachwear manufactures been identified as having the highest number of sources for the most diversified range of vintage inspired bikini merchandise.
In one fashion exhibition show back in the year 1985, two piece suits with fashionably cropped tank like tops instead of the common skimpy and bandeaux suits that resemble a bikini front side. And one piece in the back side, ruffles, suspender straps and navel baring, daring cutouts. There are a lot of visible variations. Mostly on the theme including tankini, monokini, thong, string bikini, slingshot, teardrop, micro and the mini-mini.
As much as the term bikini was used to refer to the funny fashion. That displayed the woman's navel in the 1950s. Most fashion industries today considers any two pieced swimsuit to be a bikini. Modern styles of bikinis today are categorized by a brief and simple design comprising of two triangular fabric designs. To form a kind of bra used to cover the breasts, and two triangular cuts forming a panty and used to cover the bottom. High Waisted Vintage inspired bikinis cover a larger part of the woman's body, and are usually referred to as high waisted vintage bikinis.
The most modern bikini types offer very minimal coverage of the woman's body. Usually come in one color. Vintage bikinis on the other hand comes mostly in floral patterns or polka dots, with ruffled details and timeless shapes. High Waisted Vintage Bikinis are made in big screen starlets designs from years ago. They will cover larger part of women and will make feel more comfortable.

Advantages of High Waisted Vintage Bikinis Over Modern Bikinis

The reason why most people prefer high waisted vintage bikinis is not only because of their uniqueness and style. But also because they are truly made from vintage materials making them durable and more complimenting to different body shapes. The High waist panties covers up unsightly roll on the body and the tank like tops come all that way down to almost meet the panties half way. They are very favorable for people who might be shy about showing too much skin and body. As compared to using the modern bikinis who will make you more naked.
Other people just love the floral patterns that come with these high waisted vintage bikinis. Unlike the modern bikinis which come in a single colors or very few color blend, vintage high waisted bikinis are floral or dotted which makes them stand out and very fashionable.
High waist vintage bikinis are the perfect solution for people who would love to have the bikini feeling but are insecure about their body. They compliment all body types and shapes. They give the wearer the confidence needed to show up at pool and beach parties without having to wear a one piece vintage swimsuit. Which is mostly considered as unstylish.

Vintage Dresses - Have You Considered Vintage Dresses?

What attracts people most to vintage dresses is the fact that they want something different from the usual offerings from the popular high street stores.

[ad_1]

When you think of vintage, it's easy to slip into the attitude that it will be a tacky piece passed down several generations with horrible lace, ruffles or flowers and in terrible condition.

Vintage style dresses are far from this stereotype as evidenced by the classic fashion hitting the trends right now. Vintage styles from the previous decades are making a big comeback.

Never before has vintage style been so in - what's old is very much new!

A lot of people enjoy buying vintage clothing because it allows them to wear styles from decades that inspire them most. Some like the movie glamour of the 1930's, curvy styles from the 1950's to the groovy trends of the 1970's. This lets your individuality and personal style shine through rather than being confined to the everchaning modern trends.

Vintage dresses seem to have that feminine floaty feel making you feel more womanly. They have a unique elegance and charm and are very distinct from modern factory mass produced dresses.

They are perfect for a formal evening occasion or an night out with friends. Styles range from glamorous vintage cocktail dresses to prom dresses to casual day dresses.

Even vintage wedding dresses have gained popularity amongst brides as they look stunning in photographs and add a touch of classic elegance to the bride.

Real style never goes out of fashion; vintage clothing will always be timeless. Visit our vintage dress online shop here.

Your Online Vintage Clothing Guide

Buying vintage clothing is becoming ever popular and more mainstream by the day. And we don't all live in uber cool cities with bags of vintage shops to choose from. So most of us, through choice or not, are looking to buy vintage clothing online. So lets embrace this, put our feet up, make a cuppa and take a look at what vintage clothing the world wide web has to offer.

[ad_1]

A good vintage clothing company will be run by people who are as passionate about their business as you are about buying their clothing. Such high feelings for vintage are great because any questions you have will be easily answered. You should also feel free to contact these companies if you would like advice on particular styles of vintage clothing or how to put certain items and outfits together. Most of these sellers have a real eye for fashion, cut and style as well as heaps of knowledge and experience of many decades of clothing.

The real bonus of using an online vintage clothes shop is that all the available stock is clearly laid out in relevant sections, with multiple photographs and descriptions, giving you the chance to browse in detail at your leisure. Most vintage clothing websites will sell a combination of mens vintage clothing and womens vintage clothing and many now also sell a range of retro clothing too. Another good tip is to search all sections of the website – as there may be hidden gems throughout. Bargain, clearance and sale sections are also bursting with vintage clothing – check these areas particularly if you are very petite or plus size.

Buying online is fantastic if you are the kind of buyer who likes to mix vintage clothing with high street pieces. Whether it's vintage dresses teamed with killer high street heels, or designer denim combined with vintage knitwear – you can easily cross reference between a whole array of different websites. Much more fun than trailing from one side of town to another in four inch stacks!

Vintage clothing websites are available twenty-four hours a day giving you access whenever it suits you. Once you have then found your desired piece(s) of vintage clothing, simply purchase online and let them do all the hard work! Orders can easily be tracked and within days, your fabulous new vintage clothing will be delivered directly to your door.

Vintage websites can also save you a packet! Internet only boutiques have lower overheads (no shop rent, rates, utilities etc) and therefore can afford to offer top quality vintage clothing for even less money! There will probably be a small postage charge but even this tends to be wavered if you spend over a certain amount.

Always check the terms of your chosen vintage clothing website, but most will have easy to understand policies for returns and exchanges and are happy to help if you come across any problems.

All things considered, buying vintage clothing online is an easier, more comfortable and hassle-free way to get your hands on the clothing you love. So have a good surf, find your favourites and get clicking - who knows what treasures you might find.

Visit our Vintage online Shop.

Where can I buy inexpensive vintage wedding gowns?

Are you looking for different types of inexpensive vintage dresses? Finding an e-tailer with a wide selection of inexpensively priced vintage wedding dresses that you can be sure are in good condition is important because older dresses that you are unable to see might have more flaws that are noticeable. For this reason it is important to shop websites that have a good online reputation, provide you with a clear return policy and keep open communication before and after the transaction. The following shops are good choices for you to search for exquisite vintage style wedding gowns at inexpensive price.

[ad_1]

The Frock

The Frock has perhaps one of the largest online selections of recent and antique vintage dresses from couture to designer dressmakers. Not only is there a huge collection of vintage wedding gowns, but mid century, flapper, WWII, celebrity and Victorian to Edwardian period dresses. Because of the exclusivity of many of the couture designs and designers represented in The Frock collection the prices are higher than other vintage wedding dress sites or shops, but there are several bargains and it is the best priced collection I could find for the quality and exclusivity represented.

Because most of the dresses are couture, sizes are very limited, but dress sizes are always very clearly labeled in every description. For the couture collection dresses range anywhere from $700-$5000, but there are several vintage pieces from designers like Oscar de la Renta, Givenchy, and Adolfo Sardia that are well priced.

Vintage wedding

Vintage wedding has a large selection of formal and informal vintage wedding dresses and reproduction dresses all at reasonable prices. Styles include dresses from the 1940s-1970s, Edwardian, tea length, and Victorian styles. While most of the selections are new, there are some that have been worn but are still in great condition. Every dress comes with a very detailed description including the measurements of the entire dress, the style and design features and the condition of the dress, but it is still always a good idea to inquire further about the condition of the material.

The sizes of the dresses available at this site range from petite to plus size and are very reasonably priced based on the style of the dress and its condition. A vintage 1940's dress in great condition is priced at $450 while a newer vintage princess style gown is priced at $500.

Vintage Vixen

Vintage Vixen has been selling vintage dresses on its website for over ten years now and also include an inventory of coats, shoes, hats, gloves and purses so you can shop here for all your vintage needs. The vintage wedding dress collection includes dresses from as recent as 1980 and as old as the 1920's representing every dress style that was in fashion during those periods. Though there are no couture or designer selections available, the dress designs are well tailored and made from quality fabric and materials.

Dress sizes represented vary, but the vast majority correspond to modern day size 4-6. A quick email to Vintage Vixen with your exact sizes will get you personalized shopping service to help you find the exact dress you are looking for in a size that fits or that can be made to fit with a couple alterations. Prices on this website are very competitive and reasonable with ready to wear pieces ranging in the $200-$400 price range.

Once Wed

Once Wed is a great alternative to the popular auction website, eBay becuase only wedding dresses are up for sale. Future brides can come to the site and search through the selection of dresses that one time brides have now put up for sale. Like eBay the site is a hit or miss, so if you are serious about finding a vintage dress you need to check the listings often and stay on top of any sales. Knowing exactly what you are looking for, instead of random searches, will help you narrow down your search on this site as well. Feel free to visit Vintage wedding dress shop here.

Top 5 Games of the 50’s

The 1950’s may seem like a lifetime ago, but some of the most popular toys and classic games were created in the fifties, games that still make classic gifts today. Here are some of the best retro toys from the fifties that have survived as classics today.

[ad_1]

The Frisbee

It’s one of the simplest toys ever and almost everyone has one. It’s very cheap to buy and was first created in the 1950s.

Mr Potato Head

He has been remarketed by Disney after the Toy Story movies, but Mr Potato Head was first released in 1952 and was to be used with a real potato! He also became the first ever toy to be advertised on TV, making him an overnight sensation.

The Hula Hoop

The Hula Hoop has existed in some form or another for thousands of years, making it one of the best retro games ever, but it wasn’t until 1957 that the Hula Hoop we know today was manufactured and marketed.

Scrabble

It’s one of the most loved board games ever and it was invented by Alfred Butts, an architect. Scrabble is one of the original retro games.

Play-Doh

It may seem hard to believe but Play-Doh has been around since the fifties, and was originally invented with the purpose of cleaning wallpaper. It’s perhaps ironic then that most children end up smearing Play-Doh on the walls while they’re playing with it!

Vintage Western Clothing Has Timeless Appeal

Men and women who love the romance and independence of the cowboy tradition love to dress in vintage western clothing. Retro clothing from the late 19th century through the early 20th century continues to have a strong market in the fashion industry whenever it has a connection to the spirit of the Wild West and the American Cowboy. More than one creative entrepreneur has found a good livelihood selling both original and well as reproductions of the clothing that was popular and worn by American pioneers and cowboys alike during the 1800s.

[ad_1]

If an individual wanted to create a business marketing vintage western clothing, there are numerous categories of clothing they might want to offer. These range from ornate suede jackets with fringe popularized by such characters as Wild Bill Cody, as well as frock coats and dusters seen in countless western movies and television shows romanticizing the American West. Other retro clothing that should be stocked in a western clothing store specializing in vintage pieces include vests, pants, jeans, western shirts and fancy decorated embroidered shirts often favored by rodeo riders. Of course, no western clothing collection would be complete without a good selection of vintage cowboy hats and quality leather boots, an essential part of the traditional cowboy uniform.

Although retro clothing in the western style is most popularly worn by individuals living in the western and southwestern states of the U.S., the popularity of this style of dress is definitely not limited to those areas. That is why the sale of vintage western clothing continues to be popular online, both at online stores specializing in this mode of dress in addition to online auction sites where worldwide fans of the Wild West period search daily for items that will complete their wardrobes.

Other popular places to find items of western clothing of vintage eras are at local feed and livestock stores as well as stores catering to individuals who own horses and livestock. Very often area church flea markets and rummage sales will yield some great western wardrobe treasures, donated by someone who is no longer enamored of this historical period. Neighborhood yard sales should be scoured as well for some good bargains on boots, hats and jackets. It's important to note that many vintage styles of clothing and outerwear are cut smaller than today's sizes, so be careful when purchasing something that cannot be tried on first. But once you know your exact size, it is easier to purchase both online and sight unseen.

Clothing Sizes Explanation

The problem is that Superdry sizes 'appear to be different' from other brands in the market (I've put that in inverted commas for a reason). That and the internet is plagued of misleading information on this topic. I've decided to sort this out once and for all. Or at least until Superdry change things up again. Superdry is actually very accurately sized. I know you weren't expecting to hear that so I will explain why.

[ad_1]

The Problem with Standards

There is an international standard for clothing sizes. The International Standards Organization, also known as ISO. They are the governing body for all sorts of standards, including a standard measure for the sizing of clothes. This should, in theory, give us a reference to be able to accurately choose clothes and convert between US, UK, European and other sizes. But it doesn't. There are problems with the international standards.

Getting too deep into these standards is beyond the scope of this article so I'm going to cut to the chase. There problem comes in two parts; Using letter codes like Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large and clothing manufacturers taking liberties with the established standards. They aren't obliged to conform to the standard so there isn't likely to be any change in the future. When compared to other clothing brands, a good rule of thumb is that Superdry clothing is approximately one size smaller. They are sized to fit properly but as most other clothing manufacturers are getting more and more generous with their sizing, it's better to go for one size bigger in Superdry clothes. For example, if you are usually a medium then you buy a large in Superdry.

Superdry Size Chart

Superdry clothing complies with the international standards; the problem is that other clothing companies don't. Superdry also use letter codes, so there must be a look up table to convert a size from Small, to chest size or women's dress size. If you've looked on their website you would have noticed that there isn't such a helpful table anywhere to be found. I've developed a Superdry size chart.

Men's Superdry Clothing Size Chart

Sizes are chest sizes, measured in inches.

Extra Small = 36"

Small = 38"

Medium = 40"

Large = 42"

Extra Large = 44"

Extra Extra Large = 46"

Men's waist sizes are pretty straight forward. They are all in inches, the standard measure so you shouldn't have any problems selecting your size.

Women's Superdry Size Chart

The UK and US dress sizes are matched to the ISO standards and might not necessarily match up to the size you would normally buy in other clothing brands. It is intended that you go by the actual measurements (in inches).

Extra Small = UK Size 8/ US Size 4 = Bust 34", Waist 25.5", Hip 36.5"

Small = UK Size 10/ US Size 6 = Bust 34", Waist 26.5", Hip 37.5"

Medium = UK Size 12/ US Size 8 = Bust 35", Waist 27.5", Hip 38.5"

Large = UK Size 14/ US Size 10 = Bust 36", Waist 28.5", Hip 39.5"

Buying Superdry Clothing

Probably the best advice I can give you is try before you buy but what if you don't have a store near you? Is this case you are left with the only option, to shop online where you can't try the item on before you buy it. There are exceptions however. Some stores, like Nucleus, offer free return postage on internet orders so in effect you can try the stuff on and send it back if it doesn't fit. It's a slight hassle getting to the post office but at least it won't cost you anything.

Christening Gowns: How To Store A Christening Gown

Christening gowns are precious treasures. Their delicate beauty and cherished symbolism enrich lives throughout the years. Their fine fabrics hold our memories. To ensure their continuity, Baptism dresses must be preserved in correct fashion.

[ad_1]

How To Store A Christening Gown

1. Store A Spotless Gown

To survive throughout the years, gowns must be spotless before storage. Even colorless stains such as body oils or perspiration can cause damage over time. Satins and most silks require dry cleaning. Always inform the dry cleaner about the stain type. Water or sugar stains do not respond to normal dry cleaning methods. Such stains require the use of additional solvents.

Always check care labels before you attempt to clean a dress. When hand washing christening gowns, use lukewarm water and an enzymatic cleaner. Do not use fabric softener or starch. Then rinse, rinse, rinse with cool distilled water!  All residue must be removed or it will harm the fabric.

2. Air Dry The Gown

Air drying is required for such delicate fabrics. Laying your gown flat while drying is the best method. Do not store a gown until it is completely dry to the touch. Never iron a dress before storing it. Ironing will remove moisture from the fabric.

3. Avoid Contact With Metal

Metal hangers are a gown's worst nightmare. Use padded hangers. Avoid contact between a gown and any metals. They can corrode and cause damage upon contact.

4. Use Only Acid-Free Paper

Soft tissues are often used to stuff sleeves to help them keep their shape. They are also used to minimize folds (less folds, the better). Only acid-free tissue, however, should ever touch christening gowns. Scrapbooking stores are frequent suppliers of acid-free tissue. Online sites for preservation of vintage clothing also offer this type of tissue.

Cool blue or soft pink tissue looks pretty but instead always choose pure white. If colored tissue became wet, the color could transfer to the gown. Ordinary paper boxes can not be used to store dresses. Any type of paper around a gown must be an acid-free product.

5. Store In A Cotton Or Special Preservation Bag

Baptism dresses may be purchased and stored for a short period in vinyl garment bags. For long term storage, however, gowns must never be stored in vinyl or plastic. Contact with these materials can harm the dress over an extended period of time. Their presence can lead to discoloration and deterioration.

The dress needs to breathe to survive the years. If fabric can't breathe, it will fade and turn yellow. All natural cotton creates the safest storage. No dyes or chemicals must ever be allowed to come in contact with a christening gown. Satin dresses (and others) which require dry cleaning may be packaged onsite by a preservation specialist.

6. Store In An Appropriate Size Garment Bag

Store dresses in garment bags appropriate for the individual gown. Garment bags come in different sizes. Christening celebrations can be held at different times in a baby's life. Some christenings are held shortly after birth. Others are not held until months into the first year. Boys' christening outfits will not require as roomy storage as the full folds of girls' gowns.

A dress should never be squashed in a garment bag. The length of the dress and the folds need to fall naturally in place. If there is sufficient room, mementos of the christening - socks, blankets, or other keepsakes - can be stored at the bottom of the bag.

7. Store The Gown In A Cool, Dry Place

A hot attic or a damp basement should not be home for a christening gown. Heat and humidity are not kind to heirloom gowns. Sunlight may brighten our lives but extended exposure to sunlight will dull and yellow a dress.

The dress should be stored in a room with a consistent temperature. A dark, dry closet provides the perfect atmosphere. Don't store other bags or boxes on top of the christening gown.

8. Don't Forget The Gown

The adage - out of sight, out of mind - doesn't apply to a christening gown. At least every few years, you need to check its condition. The fibers need to be rehydrated before further storage. Rehydration is a simple process.

Soak the dress in lukewarm water for a few hours. Air dry again and store in the garment bag. Wearing white gloves during this process will ensure against the transfer of body oils.

9. Store For  Future Generations

Proper storage methods can't provide an absolute guarantee of pristine condition. Yet correct storage significantly increases the chances of a perfect preservation. Some yellowing in gowns may occur over an extended period. This patina can even add to the appeal of a heirloom dress.

Even when a Baptism dress becomes so delicate that it is unwearable, it can still be preserved in a museum-mount frame. The christening gown will be able to touch lives even further into the future. You can still continue to store your treasured gown and your precious memories.

Erotic Card Games - Shuffle Up Foreplay

Is great sex in the cards for you tonight? For many couples, foreplay is either non-existent or way too short. It is well known that extended foreplay makes for more intense orgasms. But, you may be spending less time playing together because sex seems mundane, boring, or routine. Here is your chance to get lucky and spice up your sex life with random acts of pleasure.

[ad_1]

With a little creativity, you can turn a standard pack of cards into your personal deck of desire. Essentially any of your favorite games can be transformed into an erotic thriller by assigning intimate activities to the cards. You can assign sexy ideas to each suit, each rank or to individual cards. You can even assign intimate activities based on color and rank combinations. Or, face cards could be assigned erotic activities while numbered cards have none. Playing cards can be assigned sensual delights in many different ways to suit the type of games you have in mind.

When creating a foreplay card game variation from one of your own favorites, introduce a range of different intimate activities. Design them in a way that encourages you to sample various types and intensities of stimulation for a total sensual experience. Since you want to awaken all your erogenous zones, try to avoid excessive repetition of each type of foreplay activity. Write the activities down so you know what you are both playing for.

For shy or slightly inhibited lovers, enjoying a regular game together can help you both get into a playful mood. Prepare an inviting play area and atmosphere that suits the foreplay games you have in mind (a glowing fire, candles, wine, soft music, tasty treats, pillows, etc.). Then slyly introduce foreplay rewards and forfeits into the game. Include periodic clothing removal that fits the nature of your game. Being forced to strip adds to the excitement but rushing to get naked should not be your goal. Build the intensity by escalating to more explicit types of sensual intimacy as the foreplay games progress. For many card games, each hand is fairly quick so you could create multiple activity lists that progressively increase the levels of intimacy.

Some example erotic game ideas based on classic card games are described below:

  • Crazy Sex is an erotic adaptation of Crazy Eights with opportunities to play for what you really want: stripping, sensual foreplay and passionate sex. While trying to be the first to get rid of all the cards in your hand, receive sensual rewards corresponding to matched cards. Play to win four games scoring points as normal. Win a game to have your lover strip one article of clothing. Highest total score wins their sexual desire.

  • Remember To Have Sex is an erotic adaptation of the Memory card game. Attempt to find matches by turning over only two cards at a time from a deck laid out randomly face down. Activities performed are determined by matching pairs of different colors. If a match is the same color keep the set but no activity is performed. The player with the highest number of matches wins a special sex play activity or fantasy. Incorporate stripping activities by using a joker or play multiple games with the loser of each round removing one article of clothing.

  • Go Bleep Yourself is an erotic adaptation of the card game Go Fish for couples who enjoy intimate games. In this game you "Ask for Sex" activities by requesting matching cards. If your lover has what you are looking for you get it then and there. However, if you ask for something they can't provide they get to tell you to Go Bleep Yourself. The player who makes the most successful sexual requests (matching pairs or cards) wins their favorite sex play activity or fantasy.

  • Manic Mood Match is an erotic adaptation of Snap. It is a fast and easy card game where matching cards leads to stripping, sensual foreplay and passionate sex. In this game each card represents a foreplay activity you're in the mood for. If your lover is also in the mood (a match), be the first one to Go For It and you receive the pleasuring and a set of cards. First player to win all the cards receives a special bonus sex play activity -- what ever you are in the mood for.

Erotically spiced card games provide an easy, exciting and fun way to mix up your sex play. Use your deck of desire to randomize a variety of foreplay activities. And, even though you know the erotic possibilities at stake, not knowing exactly in what sequence or how often creates an element of delightful surprise. The competitive nature of the game combined with just the right amount of strategy helps build sexual tension and enhance your passion for each other. So, shuffle up foreplay and enjoy Amazing Sex!

Vintage Harley Davidson Clothing Tips

Harley Davidson will go down in history as being one of the most famous and well known brand names in the world. Harley Davidson has been known for their commitment to detail and quality ever since they became established in 1931. Due to this, many companies create imitations of Harley’s quality apparel and other gifts such as helmets, boots, and bike accessories. It is vital that you become aware of the signs for authentic Harley Davidson vintage clothing because knock-offs are everywhere!

[ad_1]

Below you will find several tips to help you identify what’s real from what's fake. By keeping a few helpful signs in mind, you will be able to spot imitation Harley Davidson from a mile away.

Tip #1: Study the Harley Davidson Logo

For decades, the bar and shield logo has been around. In fact, it’s only changed a little since its original design back in 1931. When shopping for vintage Harley Davidson apparel, be sure to know the exact colors, shape and details of the genuine Harley Davidson Logo. Imitations often alter the logo first. As an example, a common logo variation includes the misspelling of Motorcycle. On a knock-off you will see this written in the center of the logo, "Harley Davidson Motor Cycle." Notice the space between Motor Cycle? Always check the logo and look for slight alterations. This is the best way to identify an imitation!

Tip #2: Check the price. If you think it's too good to be true, you are probably right with that assumption!

Pay special attention to this tip when purchasing vintage or antique Harley Davidson apparel. When in good shape, vintage Harley clothing can be quite valuable and expensive! The same goes for antique bikes and parts. If you feel that the price is an incredible bargain, the chances of it being authentic are lessened.

Tip #3: Pay special attention to the detail and quality of the clothing.

As mentioned earlier, Harley Davidson is known for producing quality products. This has been the company's philosophy since the very beginning so if the article of clothing you are considering buying is of poor quality, its probably an imitation. Authentic vintage Harley Davidson clothing will be made with great detail and include real leather, accurate stitching work and high quality lining.

Indian Style Interior - The Days Of The Maharajas

Indian style decor is known for its vibrant colors and multi hued textures, so opt for warm earthy tones in their brightest palettes, such as bridal reds, magenta pink and deep carmine reds. Choose textiles with authentic handcrafted embellishments that are traditional yet classic. Hand printed floral details on handloom cottons, lavish paisley pashmina throws, sequins and chikan embroidery fabrics are all wonderful choices.

[ad_1]

This bedroom is from a traditional Haveli palace, with intricately hand carved headboards made from old Indian Doors and draped silk curtains. Although lavish and extravagant, the room is surprisingly easy to decorate. Start by adorning your bed with the handloom cotton bedcover set or the hand embroidered pacca throw. Next, add the sari table runner along the foot of the bed to add some Bollywood jazz. Finally, accent the bed with the sari accent pillow covers in multi color hues. Go for vintage beaded wall hangings which make your walls more interesting. Go for one statement piece, a large wall hanging or if you want the modernistic appeal, stagger three runners on the wall.

The rustic and earthy palette of colors in the exotic vintage table runner, the glamorous bohemian banjara table runner create visions of the far east. Go for a modern Indian ethnic vibe, contrast a clean, white base with an antique Indian Door saved from the palaces of Jaipur. The clean ivory walls create a soothing zen element highlighted with the teak arches with carvings of lotus and chakra, and the use traditional Indian fabrics in cushions, and table runners makes it looks arch-typically Indian.

Uplift the simple plain sofa with colorful patchwork cushion covers. The embroidered pillow covers and the brocade pillow covers with elephant and peacock motifs are breathtaking. Use a dining table made from old doors and rich patinas, the colors, patterns and give a old world charm. Textured walls in parchment with subtle colors amplify the unique quaint rustic woods and architectural detail.

Deep dark wood patinas come to life with vibrant embellished table runners and beautiful handcrafted artifacts. Rustic bowls and candles soften the aura and create whimsical romantic interiors.

Create an awesome centerpiece by adorning your runner with antique brass lamps and hand carved Indian vases. Statues of Hindu Gods and Goddesses handmade from brass, wood, with old silver or gold patinas look very nice in Indian styled rooms. Look for unique and rare carvings bringing in the energies of the ancient days. Ganeshas and Buddhas add immense dynamics to any Indian styled home.

Tradition and style mixed with the classic days of the Maharajas create spellbinding interiors that are so unique and filled with wonderful energies.

Things To Look For In Las Vegas Vintage Clothing

As it deserves, vintage clothing is back at the center stage of fashion and design. Everyone wants a piece of the action. Everywhere you look, it is apparent that Las Vegas vintage clothing is yearned for and loved by fashionable women. But while it is easy to categorize vintage clothing into a single category, each piece actually has its own unique characteristic. This is also the reason why women who want to stand out from the crowd usually choose Vegas vintage clothes to make a statement.

[ad_1]

What exactly is considered "vintage"?

Many people have misconceptions about this because there are a lot of errors in the information they receive. One thing to remember is that just because it's old, doesn't mean it can be defined as a Las Vegas vintage piece. Also, there are several factors you need to take into consideration including its age, style, material and design.

Age - Las Vegas vintage clothing is typically classified by the decade it was designed in. Clothing had a deeper meaning then as opposed to now. It was a cultural expression and clothes represented the fashion sense and lifestyle of the people during that decade. Victorian-era garments through the clothing of the 1960s can generally be referred to as vintage. However, some fashion experts argue that clothing produced after the 1960s should be named retro instead.

Design - vintage items have that special something that makes people want to have them. They possess an aesthetic quality that is appealing, classic, and timeless and nostalgic all at the same time. The uniqueness of each piece makes the individual who wears it stand out from the rest. In short, Las Vegas vintage pieces give people today a connection to the past while making them look sophisticated and classy at the same time in the twentieth century.

Quality - the quality of Las Vegas vintage clothing is unparalleled for a few simple reasons. Machines were not as common in the past as they are now. As a result, the more elaborate styles were naturally given more attention to detail, almost always hand-sewn and personal touches were given to each piece. The details found in these clothes are definitely unrivaled by the mass-produced garments of today and are what made them survive and withstand the ravages of time.

It comes as no surprise that fashion-forward individuals today are looking backwards for inspiration and guidance. Las Vegas vintage pieces are unbeatable when you're talking about design aesthetics, quality and the cultural meaning of clothes. Being famous for its nightlife, glamour, top entertainers, and infamous jet setters, Las Vegas had as much universal vintage clothing, coming and going, as New York or Chicago. Everyone, both men and women, wanted to make a fashion statement in Las Vegas.

Using Coat Racks and Vintage Clothing in Modern Decor

When most people think of coat racks, they think strictly of hanging coats, hats, and scarves. But coat racks can be a lot more than just a place to keep clutter off the floor. They can also provide you with an opportunity to display your own, unique decorating tastes.

[ad_1]

One of my favorite ways to decorate with coat racks is to display vintage clothing on them. Wall-mounted coat racks work particularly well for displaying vintage hats and bonnets. And floor-mounted coat racks are a natural for cloaks, gowns, shawls and scarves.

Don't go cheap when using coat racks as a decorating accent. True, you can pick up a generic wall-mounted coat rack for under $10 and a floor-standing one for under $30. But if your goal is to create an eye-catching accent, don't expect a cheap one to have the effect you want.

Bent wood, rattan, wrought iron, or brass give you the best eye appeal in a floor-standing coat rack. And look for furniture-quality solid hardwood in wall-mounted coat racks. Don't settle for generic, dime-store coat hooks on your coat rack when you can easily combine the beauty of brass and porcelain or get the rustic strength of wrought iron.

You can find wall-mounted coat racks with rosemaling, or other styles of decorative painting. These always add to your accent, as do such features as a plate rack or decorative shelf on top that allows you to display other collectibles.

And a mirror, whether etched or plain, on your wall-mounted coat rack is always a big plus. Not only does it enhance the beauty of your accent, but it provides a much appreciated service to your guests of letting them check their appearance after coming in from outdoors.

As for finding vintage hats or clothing for your coat rack, here are some places to try.

Most larger cities have at least one vintage clothing store available. You can also find vintage clothing in many estate sales. And more and more second-hand stores gather vintage clothing donated to them into a special area.

Or you can look for reproduction vintage clothing and hats from merchants who specialize in supplying the participants of living history events with clothing and items from daily life of the eras these participants portray.

I've found Renaissance festivals and Civil War Reenactments to be especially rich sources of quality reproduction vintage clothing (and many other interesting items useful for decorating). Both events attract a large number or merchants who specialize in reproduction vintage clothing and other items of those times. And you can find many of these merchants on the Internet, as well.

Be aware, though, that while you can usually find a greater variety of items through these merchants in brand new condition, the prices for reproductions can be expensive because of the amount of labor involved in faithfully reproducing construction techniques from a pre-mass production era.

In looking for vintage hats to display on a wall-mounted coat rack, you can either go for a single era, or go eclectic with vintage hats from a number of eras and styles. And don't forget the eye appeal of including one hat in your collection that drapes a ribbon down beneath. Or consider dangling a vintage umbrella or cane from one hook to create various lengths of items hung from your coat rack.

And the hats you use don't necessarily need to be formal. Some of the most effective hats I've found for decorating have been the well-worn, but extremely unique, vintage hats of everyday laborers.

For a floor-standing coat rack, avoid reproduction or vintage clothing that really needs a hanger for it to look its best. Look instead for drapey items such as cloaks, gowns, shawls, and scarves. Experiment with interweaving a colorful scarf or shawl among dark and elegant formal wear.

Or try hanging a coat or gown by the shoulder instead of by the collar for a casual, asymmetrical look. Include a vintage purse. Or, depending on the effect you want to create, consider the effect that draping some vintage silk stockings or lingerie could add to the accent you create.

The options are endless when it comes to combining coat racks and vintage clothing. Just use a quality coat rack that does justice to what you display and let your imagination, and your decorating taste, be your guide in selecting items to display on it.

Cotton Sheets - What You Need to Know

Most people are already positive that Egyptian cotton bed sheets are worth whatsoever price a certain retailer wants to slap on them. The reality is, though, percale sheets produced from pima or supima cotton are equally comfortable and considerably more affordable.

[ad_1]

Pima cotton provides the first-rate, long fibers that have made Egyptian cotton so popular, yet since pima cotton is cultivated in the United States, you shouldn't need to finance its plane ticket. We have discovered three extremely premium cotton sheet sets for your approval, and we hope you will discover one that will work with your resources and also your requirements.

Garnet Hill provides sheets that happen to be positively reviewed by quite a few customers and also authorities in the industry of household bedding. Their Signature Hemstitched percale sheets feature vintage-inspired hemstitching on the flat sheets and pillowcases. The product has a thread count of 250 which means they are smooth and sturdy. The Signature Hemstitched sheets may be found in your choice of 9 fashion hues, and the fitted sheets include elastic all the way around to make sure of a suitable fit on some lucky mattress. A set of this company's queen size sheets is priced at $135.

As of this writing, the most popular cotton sheets found at Amazon happens to be the Renaissance 600 TC Woven Stripe sheets which are much like the kind of sheets you should count on in a four star hotel. Keep in mind that greater thread counts don't simply mean a smoother sheet; they additionally mean a sheet which will be rather sturdy, which explains why finer hotels use them. In addition to the clear quality of these cotton sheets, one attribute which could be the cause of their best seller status is the price of these sheets. You can encase your queen sized bed in 600 count cotton sheets for merely $40. Another must see is the Sateen Sheet Set.

Thomas Lee is very satisfied with their 100% pima cotton bed sheets, and rather than merely labelling them percale sheets, this company markets them within the patented name PerfectCale. Thomas Lee's pleasure is not misplaced, I'm pleased to tell. These sheets are a very tightly woven 500 thread count and this provides a fantastic feel. The sheets are moreover strong enough that this manufacturer guarantees they should never pill. The sheets are not obtainable on Amazon and are rarely marked down, therefore if you surf over to their website you will discover that they are advertising PerfectCale linens for just what they are worth; $235 for a collection of queen sized sheets. Another good model is the Egyptian Cotton Sheet Set.

While a few of these selling prices may seem a bit steep, remember that you may come across some perfectly respectable bed sheets for less than $40 at a lot of department stores. If, all the same, you prefer the best cotton sheets on the market and are willing to purchase them, you could sleep better confident that your choice was a good one.

Retro Shapewear - a Fashion Revival

Retro styling - these days the term is being applied to everything from clothing to furnishing the home. The name retro comes from the Latin meaning 'backwards'. This article is concerned with retro lingerie, or to be more specific retro shapewear.

[ad_1]

Although most of the comments that follow describe the sleek chic girdles from the fifties and sixties, they can equally apply to today's girdles that are based on the original designs.

The war years were years of austerity and women on both sides of the channel dressed for comfort, to help the war effort. Women, eager to attract partners at the end of the war, so fashions reflected this desire. Couture house Christian Dior came up with styling needing a sleek, chic silhouettes. Now girdles, corsets or corselets became essential. Suddenly all women wore girdles, and not just women either - all the shapewear manufacturers targeted not just women but teens as well. A variety of girdles for the young adult were produced. Probably the teen girdle that gained the maximum coverage, in more than one sense, was the panty girdle - a tight-fitting cross between a girdle that held the tummy in and one that protected the wearer from advances, whether unwelcome of otherwise!

The girdle had several functions - to give that sleek chic silhouette to the wearer and to hold up the nylon stockings. Girdles generally had a minimum of two pairs of garter clips. There are two at the front and two garter clips, usually slightly offset from the rear. The garters are offset so that when the girdle wearer sits down they do not have to sit directly on the clips! The open bottom girdles usually have the garter clips on elastic straps, which is useful in keeping the nylon stockings taught as the wearer moves about, sitting and standing. The nylon stockings from the fifties did not have spandex or lycra and were non-stretch; without the elastic of the garter strap the stocking would 'bag' as the wearer stood up.

The panty girdle, and particularly the long-leg panty girdle often has the garter tab attached directly to the girdle itself. The long-leg panty girdle legs usually completely overlap and cover the stocking-welt, losing the gap of bare thigh above the stocking top. Men usually find the flash of bare thigh and garter strap exciting; however, a long leg panty girdle, although practical, hides all this and has consequently been described (along with pantyhose) as a "passion killer".

Girdle materials Modern and retro girdles usually feature spandex or Lycra for elasticity, but the original girdles dating from around the 1930s usually used rubber to give stretch. The introduction of rubber was a major step in corsetry - the ultra-rigid corset had suddenly become more flexible. In parallel with its introduction the terms associated with such items of clothing also metamorphosed: from the original corset, the term roll-on came into vogue, particularly in the USA, then came the step-in and the corselette, often known as the 'all in one'.

Indeed for a while Playtex marketed a girdle molded from pure latex - these have become quite the collectors item these days, partly because of rarity value. Pure latex deteriorates over time and the garment then perishes, so few remain in good condition. It is interesting to know whether the common latex allergy affected wearers, but whatever the reason, these girdles are no longer manufactured by Playtex.

Retro shapewear share the same objective as vintage shapewear did, namely to sculpt the shape of the body. Elasticity can help to hold and control figures but for more rigid control a variety of 'bones' have been used over the years. The original whalebone corset did actually use whale baleen - which are the cartilage-like "teeth" which whales use to filter plankton. Each baleen is enormous, around ten inches wide and ten to twelve feet long. It proved an ideal material for corset makers because it consisted of parallel fibres that could be relatively easily split into thin strips; these strips could be shaped by heating them over steam and when they cooled they held their shape. Of course the demise of the whale population led to the supply becoming an issue. Fortunately other alternatives proved suitable - manmade plastics like celluloid, and even flattened steel springs!

Historic background to the corset The forerunner of the girdle was the corset, and that had its origins further back still in ladies stays. Indeed there is archaelogical evidence going back to 3000BC showing women with waists cinched in tightly by a garment that appears ribbed. It was around the fourteenth century that women started wearing a stiffened linen undergarment garment, laced in at the front or back, and by the fifteenth century these 'stays' were relatively common; the probable derivation of the English corset from bodice ('bodies') to the French translation of this 'corps' which transmuted back to corset. The original corsets were made by stitching together two layers of linen with a paste in the middle of the 'sandwich' to provide stiffening. By the 16th century corset makers had turned to using whalebone (actually more correctly called baleen) to offer the stiffening. This provided more rigidity than the earlier paste corsets.

By 1940, in both America and Europe, the corset had given way to the girdle, worn in conjunction with a bra.

After the fifties came the swinging sixties, when women were exhorted to burn their bras and stop wearing such restrictive underwear. But as with all fashion, girdle wearing has now gone full circle. Burlesque artists have made the 'art of tease' in which girdles, basques and corsets are on show, into popular entertainment. Wonderbra have enticed the burlesque star Dita von Teese to design, model and market a range of retro girdles and bras based on fifties designs.

The burlesque art form is now burgeoning and the esteemed Royal Festival Hall held the worlds largest burlesque lesson in January 2009, evidencing how mainstream this art has become. Original fifties girdles, corsets and basques are found in specialist online lingerie boutiques or vintage stores, but to satisfy the demand all sorts of outlets have now sprung up to satisfy the demands of burlesque. These shops and online stores invariably turn to the forties and fifties for styling inspiration for their retro shapewear - and the biggest item that seems to be in demand is the corset. Fashion really has returned to its roots.
